From day one our focus has been on beautiful, unique designs and products made with quality in mind. We are inspired by storytelling and the places we love. We aim to help you tell your story by creating works that are about a specific place. Maps are a classic way to share your heritage or to simply remember a place and the story it holds. It may be your home town where happy memories are made or somewhere you are yet to visit.
A home is a place rich in heritage and abundant in memories, absorbing experience from old friends and passing it on to new. The history of a place is preserved in its walls. We created Inky Editions as a way to help our customers create a home that tells their story.
Inky Editions was founded by Melbourne based designer and illustrator Michelle McKinnon. She has formal training in graphic design and has worked as a designer for over 15 years. As a designer Michelle worked alongside Urban Designers and Town Planners where she designed maps for the private sector and Government departments.
At Inky Editions we produce our prints with quality products and with longevity in mind.
Our prints are archival quality and are designed and made in Australia. We use heavy weight 100% cotton rag paper which is free of acid, chlorine and brighteners so there is no yellowing over time. When it comes to framing, we use custom Australian made frames using Australian timbers. We also mount your print using a minimal mat board for a contemporary look while protecting your print. Our framed prints are very popular simply because everything is done for you – just unwrap and hang.
